HCS/SCS/SB 892 - This act allows the purchase of certain cemetery services to the list of items that may be pre-purchased from a cemetery, subject to the cemetery owner meeting certain requirements. The cemetery owner must deposit forty percent of funds from the sale of services into a trustee account and the use of funds in the trustee account. A definition of "cemetery services" is created. The act shall apply only to agreements for pre-purchased services entered into after August 28, 2002. Requirements for withdrawals from the trusteed account at the time services are rendered are specified.
This act is similar to HB 1503 (2002).
